The 2004 Boxing Day tsunami changed the lives of millions. The impossible is the true story of a Spanish family and how this shocking event changed there life.
Maria (Naomi Watts), Henry (Ewan McGregor), and there 3 sons Lucas (Tom Holland) Thomas (Samuel Joslin) and Simon (Oaklee Pendergast) set off on for a tropical Christmas in the sun. While playing at the pool, the wave appears. The wave separates them leaving Lucas to try a care for his injured mother and Henry and his two other sons to search for them.
Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor do outstanding preformats. Naomi Watts has already been nominated for 2 awarded and Tom Holland has been nominated for best young actor at the critics’ choice awards. The 2 youngster boys were great for their first film.
The set was extrodanery. The 10 minute wave screen was filmed with really water and took a year to film. Some of the patios at the hospital were actual survivors of the event. The make up in the film for the wounds were the best I ever seen.
This is a very powerful and intense film with should win an Oscar or golden globe for best picture, best actors’ or best make up.
